In recent weeks, the Vestfold and Telemark cultural network has organized two conferences in Skien and Sandefjord on how we can create barrier-free leisure for children and young people with chronic illnesses and disabilities. These conferences are part of the project "Culture without Barriers" that the cultural network has in collaboration with the Løvemammaene.
It is thanks to the resource person for leisure and culture at Løvemammaene, Camilla Berg Rindahl, that this project has received a grant from Kulturtanken and can be implemented.
There have been two successful conferences with exciting content, innovative and inclusive culture, and useful knowledge.
The Lion Mothers contributed with chairwoman Bettina Lindgren as the conference host, as well as a sofa conversation about the children's perspective with representatives from both our regional branch, Løvemammaene Øst, board member Karoline Vermelid and chairwoman Connie MH Grønvold, and board member of the central board, Susanne Kubberud.
Furthermore, the Vestfold and Telemark cultural networks will hold theme evenings in both counties' many municipalities. The theme evenings aim to strengthen knowledge and cooperation between departments in the municipality so that more children and young people can experience the joy of the cultural offerings that exist.
Below is a small cavalcade of photos from the days in Skien and Sandefjord.
