Lecture

Løvemammaene offers lectures to both the specialist health service, municipalities and other professional environments. We are concerned with creating cooperation and dialogue with the aid apparatus, as well as active information work and dissemination of knowledge. We also participate in panel discussions and debates.

Tailor-made lectures

We can provide both individual lectures, themed evenings, major professional days and conferences. We have several experienced speakers and we get very good feedback. We tailor all lectures we give and can give lectures during the day and evening, weekdays and weekends. Both the duration of the lecture and the topic are up to you. We adapt to your wishes and needs.

We receive financial support from all health organizations and the Norwegian Directorate of Health for much of this work, so lectures in health and care services will usually be free (applies as long as funds are available)

With the background of our work, it is obvious that the lectures we give touch on current topics in this field. Examples of topics from lectures we have given are our stories and the relatives' perspective as parents of sick children, ASK and communication with non-verbal children and young people, what wishes and needs we have when dealing with the support system, siblings as relatives, rare children and the search for a diagnosis, how to avoid coercion against children during blood sampling and procedures, children in palliative care, bereavement support, birth and maternity care, children's coordinator, the transition from child to adult, digitization of services, coordination and interaction and much more. We have participated in professional days in PALBU HSØ and PALBU-Midt, the national pediatric palliation conference, the NITO congress, professional day at Sørlandet Hospital, the Nokias conference, national in-house training v/UNN Tromsø, E-municipality, the Relatives' Conference, professional days in a number of municipalities, Start-up courses . We take all assignments seriously and receive very good feedback.

Hope this is something more people will use!

Feedback on previous lectures

"THANK YOU SO MUCH for another gripping and useful lecture! It is without a doubt something that will make the audience think. I hope and believe they take new lessons back with them to all their colleagues. You are amazingly good at conveying what you are passionate about! We will definitely contact you again on a later occasion.”

"Thank you very much for sharing so strongly and giving us so much insight into your everyday life and experiences with healthcare personnel. I know it made a big impression on a lot of people, and I'm sure we'll get better from it."

“IN ALL CAPS – YOU DID A GREAT JOB YESTERDAY! I hope we can plan a similar day in the autumn - then more municipalities will participate. I got SO much good feedback!”

"Thank you for the very nice post on our professional day. It was nice to meet you! We could listen to you all day, so we would like to invite you to the next gathering as well."

"Incredibly powerful to hear the mother lion tell. Almost struggled to hold back the tears. This was a very good post, and should almost have been an introduction to the first plenary to set the stage for the problems we are trying to solve. I'd be happy to discuss a similar session next year, this is not a topic that will disappear anytime soon."

"Everyone I've spoken to says they got a real wake-up call and that it touched something in them. My staff came back to work and had a lot of input on how we can take better care of our little patients."

"We quickly looked over the evaluation forms when we went yesterday and you get full scores and good feedback from almost everyone. Touching, strong, best lecture, useful ++. Could write a whole list!”
