"WHAT DO YOU NEED TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE?"

Today our chairman Bettina gave an introductory lecture at the "Meeting Square" at Stavanger University Hospital for employees in the specialist health service, health managers in the municipalities in the region and children's coordinators. The theme for this gathering in "Møteplassen" was children and young people with complex needs, children's palliation and children's coordinator.

The main purpose of the meeting place is to facilitate interaction between the coordinating unit (KE) and relevant partners for development within habilitation and rehabilitation. There are more meeting places in Health Vest.

Bettina spoke about the next of kin's perspective and meeting with the support system, as well as about Løvemammaene's expectations of the child coordinator scheme. About how it is good social economy to ensure that families get enough help at an early enough stage because it is about living, not just surviving. No one seeks services for fun!

When faced with the support system, families need to be met with open arms and questions such as "What do you need to live a good life?"

She also touched on the importance of seeing the whole family. Both parents and siblings must be included in the assessment when services are to be assessed. Because the total package that these parents carry, it must be taken into account if the families are to have the opportunity to have as "normal" weekdays as possible.

The Løvemammaen thank you for the opportunity to participate in this important professional day and look forward to further dialogue and cooperation.
