Løvemammaene' annual report for 2025

Løvemammaene' Annual Report for 2025 shows a year marked by strong commitment and tireless work for children with illness and functional variation, and their families. It was also a year of important breakthrough.

In 2025, Løvemammaene continued to be a clear voice for some of the most vulnerable families in society. Through targeted advocacy work, support for members, and a strong community, the organization has contributed to important improvements in rights and services.

Among this year's successes is the fight for free pain relief for children, which resulted in an important change from July 1, 2025. At the same time, we have raised a number of other issues, from the care allowance scheme and patient travel, to legal certainty and better follow-up of families in crisis.

We are proud of what we have achieved in 2025, and grateful for everyone who helps us continue the fight for our lion pride.

The annual report provides a good insight into the breadth of our work:

• Over 9,103 members at the end of the year.
• A total of 116,215 inquiries.
• Over 100 webinars and lectures.
• Meeting places all over the country and projects that provide concrete support in everyday life.
• During 2025, Løvemammaene organized over 270 membership offers, especially thanks to our extremely talented regional teams. This means that we had membership offers on around 74% of the days of the year, which is absolutely fantastic!
• 111 like-minded individuals who dedicate their time and energy to the organization.

2025 was also a year marked by great sorrow. We lost several lion cubs, and the annual report also contains the memories of them. Children who have left a deep mark and who will never be forgotten.

And behind all these numbers, there are people. Children and youth who deserve good lives, parents who fight for them, and a community that carries itself together in both hope and sorrow.

For Løvemammaene is not just an organization that “works on” something.
We ARE this.
We live this.
We know what it feels like when the system fails, when the nights are long, when the worries never take a break.
And that's why we do this. Giving, even when it's hard.

When we look back at 2025, we of course see everything we have accomplished. But that is not what we think about most.

We think about all the conversations.
All the messages.
Everyone who has received some help.
Everyone who has heard “I understand you”.

Over 116,215 inquiries during the year. That's 116,215 times someone needed us.

We think about the community.
At our regional teams.
At all the meetings.
On the small moments that may not end up in an annual report, but that mean everything to those involved.
Parents who meet someone who understands.
Siblings who find others who are similar.
Families who can breathe a little. One way or another.

That's what we're building: A place to belong.
