WHEN NUMBERS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN HUMAN VALUES

"Kristian Tonning Riise writes in Aftenposten that it is pathetic that the right wing is accused of attacking the weakest. It is rather a lack of basic competence and understanding from the politicians that is pathetic in the care allowance debate."

The government continues to claim that the municipalities can take care of our seriously ill children when care money runs out. Then they could not possibly have understood how complicated and complex the illness picture many of our children have, and what is actually important for families when they are in the middle of the biggest crisis of their lives.

"Municipal care allowance and auxiliary allowance from NAV will never come close to being able to compensate for the loss of income.
As of today, there are therefore no schemes that look after or secure the finances of parents with seriously ill children in a sound and dignified way, other than the care allowance scheme - where now this security will also unfortunately eventually disappear!"

Bettina gives Kristian Tonning Riise (H) an answer to charges in Radikal Portal.
