BÅRD HOKSRUD WILL REMOVE THE AGE LIMIT FOR COMPANION CERTIFICATES IN BAMBLE MUNICIPALITY

Løvemammaene have previously had meetings with Storting representative Bård Hoksrud (FRP), who sits on the Health and Care Committee at the Storting. One of the issues we have faced is the removal of the age limit on companion certificates. Many municipalities in Norway have already removed the age limit. Bård Hoksrud also sits on the municipal council for FRP in his own home municipality of Bamble, and on Thursday this week he submitted questions to the mayor about whether Bamble will follow through on removing the age limit.

Bård argued that the age limit excludes children under the age of 8 from several cultural and leisure activities, and that removing the age limit would mean a lot for the families and children concerned.

Løvemammaene thanks Bård for his commitment to our target group and for raising this issue both in his own home municipality and eventually in the Storting.

Hopefully, residents of Bamble municipality will soon not have to deal with the discriminatory age limit for companion certificates.

See video of Bård's question to the mayor in Bamble, and the mayor's answer to Bård in the clip below (click on the image, Hoksrud's question is 4:34:00 into the recording).
