RECEIVING HALF A MILLION KRONES IN CARE BENEFITS

omsorgsstønad, løvemamma

Our deputy leader Karoline Myrland Hagen has emerged victorious from the battle against Trondheim municipality, almost 2.5 years after she submitted an application for care allowance!

Karoline's personal comment on the matter:

"I am overjoyed and incredibly relieved that this long and difficult battle had such an end! It has been frustrating and energy-consuming to live for over two years with such a case hanging over them. Of course, this is a battle I wish I didn't have to fight in the first place, but I hope and believe that this will prompt other parents with disabled or sick children to apply for Carer's Allowance! And by all means, if you disagree with the municipality's decision, COMPLAINT! My case went through the municipality, the County Governor (now the State Administrator) and the Civil Ombudsman during these years, before the municipality was finally forced to pay back the benefit. It pays to fight and it pays not to give up!”
