Løvemammaene was invited to give a lecture for master's students in pediatric nursing at OsloMet today. They had set aside the day to learn about and from some of the user organizations for children and young people.
It was the chairman of our central organisation, Bettina Lindgren, who participated and gave today's lecture from the Løvemammaene. She talked about the organization and its purpose, about our help service and our children's palliation project Carry together.
For us, it is important to show the everyday life that many of our member families actually live in and have to coordinate, tell about how the lack of crisis help and bereavement support makes it extra demanding to deal with, and share experiences from both the positive and negative things we encounter in the aid system . Therefore, there was also a review of this, as well as a bit about how meeting us lion parents can be done in a good way. Experiences with and wishes about how to meet our children were also shared, especially those without motor or verbal opportunities to speak up and protest.
At the end, several good questions were asked and we had a nice discussion with many of the students. All in all it was a great day!
The Løvemammaene are very grateful that OsloMet wanted us, and we look forward to coming back on a later occasion.
