MLD INTO THE NEWBORN SCREENING

Beate, who is a deputy member of our organization, is fighting for an important cause! She has a son with the fatal disease MLD.

Did you know that there is now a treatment for this disease?

The children with MLD can have the opportunity to grow up as healthy children.
For this to happen, MLD must be included in the newborn screening, so that the disease is detected early enough. Children with MLD must receive treatment before symptoms develop!

"A life with MLD is a life of a lot of pain, frustration and great loss of skills until the body can't take it anymore. Don't put families through this. With the European-approved treatment, the child can have the opportunity to live normally."
