Meeting with Vålerenga Football Elite

Today our deputy chairman Elin Gunnarsson had a meeting with Vålerenga Fotball Elite at Anita Alexandersen (Sports and administration coordinator) and Frode Veie (Sjappe manager/daily manager) regarding accommodation for people with disabilities.

Elin's son William (soon to be 12 years old) is a big Vålerenga fan and loves going to matches, but it hasn't always been the easiest thing to do. This gave Elin the inspiration and motivation to ask for a meeting with the club, to offer them help to improve the arrangements. Vålerenga has so far had very good hosts who have been helpful with arrangements, but you also know that everyone can be even better to give even more fans the opportunity to come to matches.

The topic of the meeting was

  • To enable the ordering of electronic HC tickets, with a good informational text if there is a need for further facilitation (e.g. access to electricity, need for a larger space than usual HC space, need for a smaller gathering, etc.)
  • That the railing with plexiglass at the HC places is poorly designed and blocks some of the view
  • To make it possible to reserve seats for family/friends in the direct vicinity of the HC seats

Vålerenga Football Elite were humble, committed and interested in listening to the feedback, and not least, doing something about it. An exciting idea from Elin about a possible collaboration was also discussed, so stay tuned for updates on that project. We thank you for a wonderful meeting and look forward to further cooperation with Vålerenga.
