MEETING MARATHON IN OSLO

Løvemammaene have had a packed meeting day! 
Nina, Helle and Elin started the day with a trip to the Storting where we first had a meeting with Rødt v/ Bjørnar Moxnes and Seher Aydar. We then had a meeting with KrF v/ Kristin Walstad.
The theme of the meetings was BPA and important input from those of us who have children with permanent illnesses and functional impairments. We told our own stories about the difficulties we have encountered along the way to get good customized services via the BPA scheme for our children. We feel that the politicians who meet us think that we provide important insights into our everyday lives and that we come up with good input that they will take with them further in their politics in the BPA area.

At the same time, Bettina was with NAV's "Team pleiepenger". NAV has received additional funds to improve the care allowance area. A team has therefore been established in NAV to develop better services. To be able to do this, NAV needs to work closely with those who use the services or know the users' needs. As part of this work, they have put together a user panel, and here the organization Løvemammaene is among the representatives. As a participant, we get to influence how the new services for care money will be. In any case, we can say that it bodes very well for the years to come.

Elin, Nina and Bettina then went to the last meeting of the day, which was with the Pårørendealliansen v/ Anita Vatland and Anne-Grethe Terjesen. We have previously submitted input to the Relatives' Strategy, and today we gained even more knowledge about the important work they do. The relative alliance has, among other things, drawn up 10 relative and family principles, which we recommend you look at on their website.

All in all, a very rewarding day where we both imparted and acquired knowledge. Our work extends across organizations and parties, and we hope that more of the parties will be open to meeting us and accepting our input over time.
