Rare diagnoses

  • Frambu still has courses for professionals. Overview of various professional course for professionals, service providers and students. The topics for the specialist courses can range widely, but are usually aimed at individual diagnoses or diagnoses with common challenges. They also organize topic-specific courses in which Frambu has a lot of experience and expertise, for example eating development in children with a rare diagnosis, from youth to adults with a rare diagnosis and aging in people with a rare diagnosis.

Kindergarten and school

  • Resource pages about children and students with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, Tourette's syndrome and autism and school absences.
  • Statped and Udir have launched a free tools for everyone who works with children and students. The target groups for the competence package are owners and managers, employees in kindergartens, after-school care, primary schools, upper secondary schools, in the PP service and universities and colleges.
  • Udir has redesigned its own websites special pedagogy and adaptation.
  • Statped often holds skills training course.
  • Webinar from Frambu for employees in kindergartens and schools about child palliation.

Siblings as next of kin

  • SIBS – a preventive measure for siblings as relatives. SIBS is primarily developed for municipal services such as low-threshold services for families, mental health services and the school health service. The program represents a knowledge-based way for health personnel in Norwegian municipalities to exercise their statutory duty as laid down in §10a of the Health Personnel Act to look after siblings as relatives.
  • Webinar from Frambu for professionals who work with siblings who are relatives of children with palliative conditions.

About living and making arrangements for good lives

Taking care of your own health helps

  • Webinar from Frambu regarding the care of helpers.

Children's coordinator

  • Løvemammaene does not recommend the child coordinator course to Visma. It is an expensive offer that does not contain anything about the next of kin's perspective, home situation, BPA etc. We believe that this course does not provide the competence and guidance you need as a child coordinator.
  • The lion mothers offer tailor-made lecture about the children's coordinator role.

Language

  • Language is a prerequisite for communication, learning and participation. Make sure you get started with ASK (alternative and supplementary communication) as soon as possible!
  • Statped has a lot of useful information about languages - use their expertise! They also have their own theme page about ASK and offers training packages.
  • For children who have language difficulties and learning difficulties, we can, among other things, tip about this great tool (also used and recommended by children's habilitation)
  • We would also recommend the use of a daily schedule, theme boards, timetables, specifics etc. where appropriate.
