TT card

tt-kort, transport, taxi

TT card (facilitated transport) is an offer for people with illness and/or reduced functional capacity who cannot use regular public transport. This means that with a TT card you can get alternative transport (taxi).

There is no statutory individual right to a TT card.

The county municipality, in the same way as for local public transport, is also responsible for making arrangements for people who cannot travel with the ordinary public transport or in their own vehicle.

Since it is not rights-based, this works alongside other rights-based schemes such as e.g. patient journeys for doctor visits and treatment.

It is the municipality or county council that is responsible for the scheme and that sets criteria for who can get a TT card.

Ask your municipality where to send an application for a TT card and if you need information and/or guidance.

When the county council has approved the application, or rejected it, you will receive a written decision (single decision). If you are refused, there must be a reason for the refusal in the individual decision, and it must also be informed how to appeal and when the appeal deadline is.
