Hurray!!! With jubilant joy, and again great awe, this Thursday we received the news from the Norwegian Directorate of Health that Carry Together, which is the child palliation project of Løvemammaene, receives a grant of NOK 2.4 million for 2024. This is Carry Together its fourth year and largest award.
With these funds, we can increase all the activity we have in the project, and implement new plans. It makes us incredibly proud and happy, and not least deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue this work!
What do we do in Carry Together?
- We provide direct guidance and assistance as parents through Carry together in the Løvemammaeneen's help service.
- We can contribute to good support around siblings through follow-up of nurseries and schools.
- We can help ensure that those who are to be helpers around the child and family have as good an insight as possible.
- We can walk the path together with families, because it's about not being alone when it really matters.
- We give lectures to municipalities, educational institutions, hospitals, parents' associations and others who want to gain more insight into the parental perspective and life with a seriously ill child.
- We can contribute with bereavement support that embraces the whole process from diagnosis to living on after the child dies.
What do we mean by "bearing together"?
For Løvemammaene, child palliation and carrying it together is about how the hospitals, municipal agencies, assistants, school, nursery school and everyone close to them can contribute to making the situation a little easier to bear for the families concerned.
If you want assistance from the help service, or for us to come and take care of you lecture, you can read more about Carry Together and get in touch here.
