INPUT TO POLYFONS STRATEGY 2024-2030

Who are we:

Løvemammaene is a diagnosis-independent organization that works to inform about and improve the rights of children and young people with illness and functional variation. We are passionate about support, freedom and equality for the whole family.

Consultation response on visions:

The lion mothers think the vision is good.

Consultation response on values:

The lion mothers believe that Polyfon's values are important and nicely summarized.

Consultation response on main objective:

The first part of the main objective is good and clear: The knowledge cluster Polyfon will strengthen music therapy as health work, educational path and research area. The second part of the main objective is more unclear, especially compared to the text that follows on how the concept of health should be understood as a resource for quality of life, coping with everyday life and community participation. This, Løvemammaene believes, is clearer and provides good coverage for individuals and society. Thus, it is proposed to reformulate the second part of the main objective to: and at the same time support and stimulate other uses of music as a resource for quality of life, coping with everyday life and community participation.

Consultation response on sub-objectives:

Sub-goals are good and understandable.

Consultation response on investments:

The main bets seem good. Children's and young people's health and upbringing, mental health, habilitation and rehabilitation are important areas of focus for the Løvemamme and those we represent. We believe it is important that there are smooth transitions between these initiatives that ensure a comprehensive approach to children and young people with serious illness and/or functional variations, and their families.

Consultation response on means of action:

Under the first bullet point, instruments for equal cooperation, both experience representatives, experience panel and resource group are mentioned. The lion mothers want to emphasize the importance of having a good spread of representation from user organisations. Needs and experiences of offers vary and are very complex. Under the third bullet point, tools for evaluating the cluster's work, here it is primarily an inward-looking look at evaluation. This should also be turned outwards so that one opens up for even more reflections and discussions, preferably together with user organisations.

Other consultation responses:

Under the challenge image, it is mentioned that children and young people are exposed to stress and boredom at school. There are many factors that affect the mental health of children and young people, and health in general. Here one can be much clearer in the examples, and address more difficult factors than boredom at school. Refugees are mentioned as the only example in section three. This thing about outsiders is big and accommodates many different people in very different life situations. Thus, it may be unfortunate to mention a specific example. Here, Polyfon should consider keeping it completely general, so that the section is not perceived as narrower than it is intended to be. The lion mothers agree to highlight challenges with the use of new professional expertise in the healthcare system and a lack of cross-sector collaboration. This does not only apply to the healthcare system, and our members encounter this in many places.
