Lecture on universal design for Clarion hotel

Karoline, chairman of Løvemammaene Nord and resource person for the central board in universal design, has given a lecture on universal design. Earlier this year she gave the same talk for the Quality chain, and the Clarion chain commissioned the exact same talk on the recommendation of the former. 

The lecture is mainly about how hotel chains can physically prepare their hotels for all people. Universal design benefits all people in society. The lecture primarily contains legislation and regulations that regulate universal design for public buildings made available to the public, but not least it contains a number of user experiences. Karoline thinks it is extremely important that user groups are invited into the plans and planning of buildings made available to the public, as hotels are. Karoline believes that the only way to succeed with universal design in the best possible way is to invite user groups who know the challenges every day. It is well known among our members that if a hotel is well organised, they will return to the same hotel. As well as the opposite. There is often a lot of planning and logistics involved in making a trip. The hotel chains can contribute to this to the greatest extent a little easier with small steps. It's about the little things.. for example reaching for a plate in the breakfast room.
